Trust and Honesty

1. Define Trust
Trust is the reassurance that you can supply a person with any information or any job and know that a word will not be said and that the job will get done.
2. Define Honesty
Honesty is purity. It is the trueness of someone’s core.
3. What do trust and honesty have to do with each other? Do they go hand in hand?
Trust and honesty do go hand in hand all though they do have their differences. Trust is the information or job you’re giving someone and honesty is the information they are giving back. Like a circuit, leadership cannot be complete without the full circle of trust and honesty.
4. How do they both relate to leadership and what is their importance to leadership?
Trust and honesty have to do with getting people to follow you because you could be the best leader out there, but no one will follow you if they do not trust you. Being unhonest is the quickest way in the world to lose your followers. If you can’t be honest to them can you be honest to yourself?

Courage

Explain the following quote as it pertains to sacrifice and leadership: "the heart of good leadership is sacrifice."
To be a true leader you must have sacrifice. If a leader has a heart that is full of the ability to sacrifice he will make a great leader.

In what ways do you display courage to those whom you influence?
I display courage to those whom I influence by voicing our team’s opinion to our coach. On my club team we have an Isralian coach and he can be pretty intimidating. You will not see a lot of girls tell him what they think. As captain I have the responsibility to have the courage to pass information from the players to the coach. I stand up for our team, but I remain respectful.

What does courage have to do with leadership?
Courage is one of the prime characteristics of leadership. It is like a cake mix. You need all the ingredients of a cake to make it flawless. Courage is like the sugar it is a main ingredient to make the rest of it work.
